I've often been asked what took me in the direction of texture building on my ceramic pieces. My love of petroglyphs, animal imprints in snow, things like that inspire me. Oftentimes my pieces have a theme but random is cool too. For the pieces that I call kaleidoscope, the patterns are in the glazing, stacking glaze color and using dish soap to create a random bubbly pattern.
